It's not a race. It's La Misión.

There are many races… but very few races become legendary.

La Misión Race is considered by many runners to be one of the most authentic and pure routes in the world. Not only because of the wild beauty of Patagonia, but also because it preserves the true essence of original mountain races: adventure, exploration, and discovery.

Here, there are no artificial paths created to pointlessly add kilometers. La Misión follows real mountain trails, ancient natural passes that cross valleys, forests, and mountain ridges, connecting immense and remote landscapes.

Every kilometer has a purpose.
Every climb leads to another valley.
Every mountain is a gateway to a new adventure.

That’s why running La Misión doesn’t feel like participating in a simple sporting event.

It feels like being part of a true expedition.

In a world where many races have lost their original identity, La Misión keeps alive the true spirit of trail running: covering great distances through wild mountains, facing nature, fatigue, and the immensity of the mountain range.

An authentic experience.

A real adventure.

A race that leaves a lasting impression.

LA MISIÓN RACE
“The Mission is to arrive.”

It's not a race. It's La Misión.

La Misión Brasil

La Misión Brasil

La Misión also lives in Brazil

The spirit of La Misión Race crossed borders and found a new home in the mountains of Brazil.

Thus, more than 10 years ago, La Misión Brasil was born—the sister race of La Misión Patagonia, developed in the stunning surroundings of the Serra da Mantiqueira, in the state of Minas Gerais, based in the historic city of Passa Quatro.

Surrounded by wild mountains, ancient ridge trails, forests, and long high-altitude traverses, La Misión Brasil keeps intact the same philosophy that made La Misión a unique race:
genuine mountain routes, an expedition spirit, real adventure, and a deep connection with nature.

Here, too, there are no artificial circuits or routes designed solely to add mileage.
The essence remains the same: crossing real mountains, moving from valley to valley, and living an authentic experience where runners must face the distance, the elevation gain, the night, and themselves.

La Misión Brasil preserves the same mystique that was born more than 20 years ago in Argentine Patagonia.
The same quest for adventure.
The same passion for great traverses.
And the same conviction that mountain races must keep their original essence alive.

Two countries.
Two mountain ranges.
One single philosophy.
